As if often the case with adult dating sites, not every profile on Adult Match Doctor is particularly replete with detail. Loads of folks fill in the few checkboxes and the couple of lines required for accessing the site. Nevertheless, given its mission, most people are probably not looking to read longwinded, poetically written descriptions anyway.

You won’t have any problems seeing who is active in your local area. That’s because its free search options are as advanced as those for which most sites charge a premium. You can search any distance from whichever postal or zip code you choose. That comes in handy in either making a connection while visiting out of town, or for finding someone close to home. Search results show when each member last visited the site. There’s no keyword search option, but given the written brevity of most descriptions, it’s a minor fault.

When it comes to quick contact on AdultMatchDoctor, you have two options: instant messaging and chat rooms. Non-members can receive IM’s from any paid member at any time, but you’ll find yourself out in the cold if you’re looking to initiate any conversations. Do you need this feature? Probably not, but it’s always nice to have options! The chat client is slick and you can use it free.

In fact, it seems that you can send emails, too, without upgrading, but the benefits of paid membership have been revised since our last review, too. They include such things as the removal of the advertisements that free users view on the site, the ability to see nudity in profile pics that is censored for non-paying visitors and see who has looked at your profile. Paid members also show up as highlighted in search results and have the chance to create their own private online photo album.

No clear mention is made of any free options having a usage limitation that expires after a certain trial period. The only obvious restriction is not being able to initiate instant messages. Once, you consider all the free access, as well as great community features, such as message boards and blogs, it seems that Adult Match Doctor might just be one of the best adult dating sites out there.

The pleasures of the flesh are supposed to take center stage at Adult Date Link, but we’re not really sure what goes on in there. You quickly figure out that unless you hand over your credit car upon arrival, you are that kid at Christmas with your face pressed up against the glass of the local pet store, wanting to take home the puppy in the window but without the means to make it happen. Here’s what the site looked like through Cupid’s eyes:

The sign up process was painless. Actually, it was even a little too painless. You can get your foot in the door and start surfing by entering a screen name, a password, an email address and your date of birth. It seemed almost too simple. That is until you try to search. That’s when Adult Date Link snaps you back into the reality of having to fill out a profile. It goes into great detail, asking you a number of questions that could take you 20 mintues or so to fill out. However, if you’re just looking to get in and search, you can skip over everything accept adding a headline and 100 characters to a personal essay. With that taken care of, you can run some searches. But then you’re struck with another problem. You can’t see the profiles until you pay your membership fee. This major mistake means that Adult Date Link takes home the big donut when it comes to profile quality.

AdultDateLink.com is a nice site to look at. The color scheme is soothing and the layout is appealing. Although it is an easy area to score full marks in, we have to give a perfect 10 to this site for presentation.

Adult Date Link also takes home full marks for search options. It lets you look based on various criteria plus it also has the ever-useful keyword search tool. The bad news is that you can’t search by keyword until you grab a membership. I guess it is as they say: every rose has its thorn!

Where would a site be without a certain level of free access? The answer to this question is nowhere. That’s exactly where this site is. You can search for people in your area but you can’t view their profiles. This is beyond suspect. This is beyond protective. This has alarm bells going off left, right and center. This also ensures ADL gets another zero to add to the list.

One of the things that showed character was that they have their membership number posted on the front of the site. That takes some courage. Our hat is off to Adult Date Link for taking that step.

Extra features also takes a beating here. Adult Date Link offers almost nothing. Extra features make a site a community but this doesn’t sem to concern them at this point. They do, however, have a chat room that you can use for free – even without paying! The sad part about the chat, though, was that when we passed by, it looked more like a boys gym locker room back in high school than a coed slumber party – which is what a site like this should really be about.

At the end of the day, Adult Date Link just doesn’t have enough to offer to make it a real winner. Check it out at your own peril.

SeniorDateConnection.com is a personals site for mature adults. It’s a small site with only about a couple thousand members total worldwide. Although the word senior is right in the site name, the average age of posted profiles ranges from mid-forties up to mid-sixties with a few men and women well below or above that generous range. In other words, the majority of members are more mature in age without necessarily reaching the traditionally accepted age of a senior member of our society. Despite it being aimed toward the golden age set, this site isn’t exactly glittering with any novel approach to online dating. If you’ll pardon the pun, it’s the same old, same old, which in this day and age seems like a letdown since lots of “older” people are single and looking for excitement.

The profile process was pretty much the standard fare. A few details of personal habits, physical traits and the obligatory marital status section were required. There is a personal essay you’re expected to complete, too. Perhaps a refreshing change on this site, for our more experienced contemporaries, is the fact that “alternative” meetings are a possible option. I have found that a lot of sites geared towards the longer living generation purposefully block any choices deemed possibly controversial — presumably so as to not offend their more conservative clientele. Personally, I find this presumed bias somewhat of a misconception on the part of people who don’t realize that sometimes when you’ve lived a little longer, your experience breeds acceptance, not contempt, for people’s differences and tastes. I digress, so I’ll get off my soapbox in defending the mature set’s progressive mindset. Let me finish by saying that there weren’t a lot of profiles with pictures but most people did well to fill out the rest of the information, so I give it a 7/10 for the quality of its profiles.

Whether one is living on a fixed income or not, one likes to know what’s free. Definitely a departure from the norm, besides merely flirting with someone by sending a wink, on Senior Date Connection you can send actual email for free. You also have access to live chat, which is also free. That kind of no-charge accessibility definitely earns this site a 9/10 for free access.

If you’re wondering now what the benefits to a full membership or the slightly more expensive premium level subscription are, when so much is already free, I don’t blame you for wanting to know. Full membership (just under $15 US/month) gives you unlimited access to all features. Presumably both email and live chat do have limits placed upon their use at the free member level, although I didn’t reach my limit during my first few visits. Premium members (about $25 US/month) also have access to more advanced search options as well as the ability to page other members who are currently online. Paying for your subscription spells freedom without limitations.

Visit Senior Date Connection is a small but worthwhile site for mature singles to checkout.
