The pleasures of the flesh are supposed to take center stage at Adult Date Link, but we’re not really sure what goes on in there. You quickly figure out that unless you hand over your credit car upon arrival, you are that kid at Christmas with your face pressed up against the glass of the local pet store, wanting to take home the puppy in the window but without the means to make it happen. Here’s what the site looked like through Cupid’s eyes:

The sign up process was painless. Actually, it was even a little too painless. You can get your foot in the door and start surfing by entering a screen name, a password, an email address and your date of birth. It seemed almost too simple. That is until you try to search. That’s when Adult Date Link snaps you back into the reality of having to fill out a profile. It goes into great detail, asking you a number of questions that could take you 20 mintues or so to fill out. However, if you’re just looking to get in and search, you can skip over everything accept adding a headline and 100 characters to a personal essay. With that taken care of, you can run some searches. But then you’re struck with another problem. You can’t see the profiles until you pay your membership fee. This major mistake means that Adult Date Link takes home the big donut when it comes to profile quality.

AdultDateLink.com is a nice site to look at. The color scheme is soothing and the layout is appealing. Although it is an easy area to score full marks in, we have to give a perfect 10 to this site for presentation.

Adult Date Link also takes home full marks for search options. It lets you look based on various criteria plus it also has the ever-useful keyword search tool. The bad news is that you can’t search by keyword until you grab a membership. I guess it is as they say: every rose has its thorn!

Where would a site be without a certain level of free access? The answer to this question is nowhere. That’s exactly where this site is. You can search for people in your area but you can’t view their profiles. This is beyond suspect. This is beyond protective. This has alarm bells going off left, right and center. This also ensures ADL gets another zero to add to the list.

One of the things that showed character was that they have their membership number posted on the front of the site. That takes some courage. Our hat is off to Adult Date Link for taking that step.

Extra features also takes a beating here. Adult Date Link offers almost nothing. Extra features make a site a community but this doesn’t sem to concern them at this point. They do, however, have a chat room that you can use for free – even without paying! The sad part about the chat, though, was that when we passed by, it looked more like a boys gym locker room back in high school than a coed slumber party – which is what a site like this should really be about.

At the end of the day, Adult Date Link just doesn’t have enough to offer to make it a real winner. Check it out at your own peril.
